Many of you have e-mail me or commented on how many books will the House of Night be.
PC has said that there will be 12 books in the House of Night. But some interviews say 9 others say 12, we'll see. In other words, a series for Stevie Rae and the red fledgings will be written.

How many books are planned for the series?
The series is really very open ended. We have at least 9 books planned, with more to come as we follow Stevie Rae and the red vampyres. There is also a lovely illustrated companion book we have in the works right now, too!

Q: How many books will there be in the House of Night Series?
A: They have been given a contract for 12 books.

There's going to be a film on the House of Night.

The first House of Night movie tentative release date is set for 2011 according to IMDB. It is still in the development status, so the release date can change. The Producers that purchased the screen rights on November 17, 2008 are Michael Birnbaum and Jeremiah Chechik, was announced on Variety. Jeremiah Chechik produced National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Diabolique, Tall Tale and The Avengers. Michael Birnbaum produced, John Tucker Must Die and Bandits. The movie is set to be a Drama/Fantasy. Their plot outline is: “Newly turned vampyre Zoey Redbird leaves her old world behind and enters a training school known as the House of Night, where she can learn how to become an adult vampyre.”
